Maureen Reilette Jackson, was born on May 29th
1950. She is the first of nine children born to the Jackson Family.
As a youngster, Rebbie (pronounced 'ree-bee') was taught clarinet
and piano by her mother. In 1976 Rebbie began a professional singing
career, becoming a cabaret singer and background vocalist. In 1984
Rebbie signed to CBS to release her first record. Her first success
was her first ever song, 'Centipede' co-written by her brother
Michael. After a break from show business in which she moved to
Virginia, Rebbie signed with Michael's MJJ label in the late '90s.
Her labeldebut album 'Yours Faithfully' was released in March 1998.
Sigmund Esco (Jackie) Jackson was born on May 4th, 1951. He began
practicing with his brothers at an early age and became singer and
dancer of the both: the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. With his
distinguishable high voice, he often led the other singers. In 1973
Jackie recorded his first self titled solo album for Motown Records.
In 1989 Jackie released his second, and so far, his last, solo album
'Be The One' on Polydor Records. In 1991 he teamed up with Tito,
Jermaine and Randy to release "2300 Jackson Street".
Toriano Adaryll (Tito) Jackson was born on October 15th 1953 as
the third child of Katherine and Joseph Jackson. Tito played the
guitar as part of the Jackson 5. 1985 he participated in the "We Are
The World" project with Jackie, Randy, Latoya, Marlon and Michael.
Tito had also worked with his three sisters, producing and
co-writing for some of their records. As his sons, the 3T, entered
showbiz Tito took over the boys management and joined them on tour
to play the guitar.
LaToya Yvonne Jackson was born May, 29th, 1956 as the middle
sister of the Jackson family. She went to college to study business
law before she followed her brothers into showbusiness. There she
was well known as an artist, an arranger, composer and song writer.
She has been a spokesperson for the "Just Say No" Anti-Drug Campaign
and was chosen one of the Ten Best Dressed Women in the World by the
top fashion designers of Paris and Milan.
Jermaine Lajaune Jackson was born December 11th, 1954. He
performed as singer and bass player in the Jackson 5, but left the
group as the band switched labels 1975. He released several
solo-albums and performed duets with Whitney Houston and Pia Zadora,
and rejoined the Jacksons a second time (after the 'Victory' album
and tour in 1985) to release "2300 Jackson Street" in 1989. His
project 'Wave To The World' benefited the Sydney 2000 Paralympics.
Marlon David Jackson was born on March 12th, 1957. He was an
original member of the Jackson 5 and later The Jacksons, performing
as a great dancer and background-vocalist. In 1987 he released his
only solo album called 'Baby Tonight' on Capitol Records, which was
mainly written and produced by Marlon himself. Also most of
instruments on the album were played by himself.
Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29th, 1958. He started
his incredible career as lead-singer of the Jackson 5. Since the
late 60ies he has become one of the most recognizable figures in the
entertainment industry. His name is known throughout the world and
his fans are legion. He is legendary for his humanitarian commitment
and for the exceptional, symbiotic relationship he enjoys with his
international fans. He has contributed to many relief organizations
through the years.
Steven Randall (Randy) Jackson was born on October 29th, 1961 as
the youngest of the Jackson-brothers and the 8th child of his
parents. He joined "The Jacksons" in the 70ies as a singer. Randy
formed a group called "Randy & The Gypsies" and made an album in
1989.
Janet Damita Jo Jackson was born on May 16th, 1966, as the
youngest child of the Jackson-Family. Though born into America's
greatest musical family, she began her show business career as an
actress. In 1982, after signing to A&M Records, Janet released
her first record called "Janet Jackson". In 1986, Janet released her
album "Control", which was wildly successful. Aside from the music,
Janet helps out a number of charities. In March of 2001 MTV Icon
honored Janet as one of the most influential artists in contemporary
pop and R&B.
Tariano Adaryll (Taj), Taryll Adren and Tito Joe (TJ) Jackson
are the three sons of Jackson 5-member Tito, one of the elder
brothers of Michael. The three talented young men started their
show-business-career as "3T' in 1992, when the movie "The Jacksons,
An American Dream" was filmed. The release of the group's first
album in 1994, entitled "Brotherhood", proved to be successful. Many
songs on this album were written and co-produced by the boys
themselves.
