This Sunday I will have celebrated Mother's Day 25 times. I've gotten an array of traditional gifts...flowers, candy, handmade gifts...but nothing more special than these gifts:

Thank you for every time I had the chance to say "Hurry up and get your butt in the car! You're gonna be late for school!"
Thank you for the chance to settle arguments between the two of you.

Thank you for listening to me (sometimes) when I gave you advice that I knew you wouldn't take.
Thank you for allowing me to kiss you goodbye.....in front of your friends.
Thank you for saying "Mom, trust me!"
Thank you for sleepless nights only to be relieved when I heard you come thru the door.
Thank you for holding my hand even when you were really too old to still be doing that.
Thank you for the times I got to say "There's NO way you're wearing that out of this house!"
Thank you for letting me be the first one you told your secrets to.
Thank you for letting me be the first one you told when you got in trouble.
Thank you for being the best kids a mother could ever ask for!!!
